WHO WE ARE.

BUILT BY FIREFIGHTERS

BY FIREFIGHTERS.

Colorado Firefighter Jiu Jitsu Club was created by firefighters who understand the demands of the job and believe no firefighter should have to carry those demands alone.

We use Jiu Jitsu as a foundation for connection, resilience, and community, bringing firefighters together on the mats while creating opportunities for honest conversations about mental health and the challenges that come with the profession.

WHY CFJJC ?

THE JOB DOESN’T ALWAYS

STAY AT THE STATION.

Firefighters routinely experience things most people will never see. Over time, difficult calls, long shifts, stress, and the expectations that come with the job can take a toll.

CFJJC was created to build another layer of support within the fire service. Jiu Jitsu gives us a reason to get together, train hard, challenge ourselves, and develop relationships with people who understand the job.

Sometimes that means getting a few rounds in with someone who gets it. Sometimes it means having a conversation after training. And sometimes more help is needed.

Our goal is to help build a community where firefighters look out for one another and where seeking professional mental-health support when it's needed is treated as strength, not weakness.

OUR MISSION

STRONGER TOGETHER ON AND OFF THE MATS

CFJJC exists to strengthen the firefighter community through jiu jitsu, connection, and support. Whether that means training together, checking in on one another, or helping a firefighter connect with professional resources, the goal is simple: make sure no firefighter has to carry the weight of the job alone.
